World Book Day is a yearly event celebrated not only in Catalonia but also around the world.
The connection between April 23rd and books was first made in 1923 by booksellers in Catalonia. The date was to honour Cervantes death date (1616). This date is also when William Shakespeare died (1616).

So in order to celebrate this World Book Day, we wanted to discover a Shakespeare's comedy called 'A midsummer night's dream'. We watched a video about Shakespeare's biography:

Then we watched the play:

We read the plot and we did some comprehension exercises. Finally students had to draw their magical dreams and describe them.
